Our TAD-88 was modified to allow for the individual pins to turn with the direction of the wire during the assembly process reducing the stress on the solder joints and risk of damage to the pin or wire. Each pin has a solder cup for easier and more secure termination and the housing is high temperature PTFE. TAD-88 uses M3 set screws to attach to a cables outer PVC or PET braided jacket securely and can accommodate cables up to 8.6mm. Smaller diameter cables can also be used with with the addtions of shrink tube or a PVC cuff before securing the M3 set screws. The TAD-88 comes in a standard Female Teflon DIN which fits the majority of tonearms on the market and we also offer a Male DIN version that fits a variety of vintage Grace tonearms and Japanese tonearms which use the reverse of the industry standard assembly. The slim body design is ideal for DIY projects where the tonearm is in a narrow location.
