USB cables between computers and DACs are critical. The match is more like romance than science. I have two DACs that sound virtually identical (and very good) when using particular cables. If I switch the cables they sound vastly different. Recently, I purchased the Zavfino cable (there is only one) I connectd it between my laptop computer and my favorite DAC. I was delighted with the improvement. "Transparency," "details," and "depth" (the closest terms I can think of) were immediately improved and the cable was, of course, not "broken in" (which is a real, if hard to explain, phenomenon). When used with other DACs in my collecton, it has improved perormance. Due to some units having different connections, I haven't tried it with all of them. When I tried to order another Zavfino USB cable, I discovered they were sold out. I understand why! When they are available again, I will get another one. I have many different USB cables; I experiment a lot. One widely advertised brand is dreadful and makes the sound downright screechy in every DAC I've tried it on. The Zavfino is the best I've ever heard. Highly recommended.
